Oli 2 — Advanced Beginners Course
Here we extend the application of the Training in Oli 1 - Beginners. We continue building the layers into the Foundation Level of learning. You will apply the Teachings you learned to a new Oli whilst continuing to refine the Oli already learned. It's about deepening and becoming Pa'a at this level which prepares you for Oli 3 - Rising.

Learning Oli (Hawaiian chant) will transform your practice from a technical application of Hawaiian Healing Methods into a deeply integrated cultural and spiritual experience. For a non-Hawaiian Practitioner, it provides the "voice" and the "Protocol" necessary to bridge the gap between Western, or external understanding of Hawaiian Healing and Culture, and authentic Hawaiian Healing, which is what our 51 Generations has preserved.
Intentionally Small Training Cohort
The Training is limited to 10 participants to ensure meaningful practice and feedback.
Each Kumu works directly with a small group of up to 5 Practitioners during the practice and coaching sessions. Your will rotate between them each week so you get the benefits of their 'ike.

Let me say this clearly, and with Aloha — Oli is not an optional extra. It is part of your foundation. It is part of Protocol. And Protocol is what makes Hawaiian Healing Hawaiian. Oli is a must know. This Practitioner-level Training is for non-Hawaiian Practitioners of Hawaiian Healing.
You will be trained in small groups, taught and coached by two Lineage Kumus, so you are supported, gently corrected, and guided properly. You will learn two chants you can use in your healing work and in your own life. But more than that — you will go deep into what Oli actually is, why we chant, what we chant, who chants, when we chant and how to chant. You will continue refining your skills to identify the kaona and how to apply it to your Oli and your life.
As a non-Hawaiian Practitioner of Hawaiian Healing: if you have been taught techniques without being taught Protocol, if your training was mainly physical strokes, if you had little Spiritual Teachings… if you were given chants without being taught what makes them culturally correct… if you’ve ever wondered, “Is this right?” — then this training is for you. The simple answer of why learn Oli is because it is part of Lomilomi Practice.
We continue moving from Intellectual Understanding to personal pilina (relationship) and embodiment to practical application which comes from the pilina. In other words, youʻre learning how to make it personal, through nānā i ka maka (watch with the eyes), hoʻolohe (listen with more than the ears), and paʻa ka waha (shut the mouth) - a very Hawaiian way of learning.
Even if you have not yet undertaken Path to Pa‘a — the foundation of all of our training — you will extend the learning of the 3 powerhouse Foundational Teachings from Oli 1, preserved and practiced for 51 Generations continuously, through the lens of Oli. You will feel the difference between memorising words and embodying the practice of Oli. And begin to explore mauli ʻuhane - vital, spiritual connection between you, the Ancestors, and the natural environment - through Oli.
